Well written, Ipek! Part of me is also concerned about how we're getting "trained" not to do discovery the way we used to. Twenty years ago, if you wanted to kill time with TV, you'd switch it on, scroll, and genuinely go through the "discovery": sports, music, drama, NatGeo, whatever. Now we're trained not to do that, or we have to work hard to do the discovery ourselves. It goes both ways, I guess: how the AI is trained for humans, and how humans get trained by the product..."

Indeed, but I think it's a circle, we'll eventually end up back at the same point, just as we're questioning right now :)
